Server housing (colocation) means placing your own server in a rack in someone else's data centre, which supplies space, power, cooling, connectivity and physical security. In Prague, one 1U server costs 680 to 1,942 CZK a month excluding VAT on public price lists, depending mostly on whether electricity is included.
How much does server housing cost in Prague?
Some providers bill electricity separately, others include 50 to 100 W, so the headline prices are not comparable. The table puts every provider at the same point, +36 kWh (50 W) and +72 kWh (100 W) of electricity a month, excluding VAT (checked 25 October 2026), and lists what each price includes: power, feeds, ports, IPMI access and IP addresses.

Who offers server housing in the Czech Republic?
At least 12 companies: DC6, Coolhousing, DC Vega, SafeDX, TTC Teleport, SH.cz, MasterDC, Starlab, Xhosting, Casablanca, CETIN and T-Mobile. All have a data centre in Prague; MasterDC also in Brno. Six publish a 1U price; the rest quote on request. The Czech provider comparison lists sources for every figure.
How do I choose a data centre?
Compare the monthly total at your power draw, dual A/B power feeds, UPS and generator, carrier choice and peering (NIX.CZ), 24/7 access, and certifications you can verify. Ask to see the certificate itself. "Tier III" means something only with an Uptime Institute certificate.

GreenData s.r.o. has run two Prague data centres 16 km apart since 2010: DC6 Vokovice (Lužná 716/2, Prague 6) and DC6 Tower (Prague 3). It is ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 9001 certified by URS Czech since 24 October 2025 and holds PCI DSS and SOC 2 Type II; the data centres are built in line with Tier III. SLA is 99.9 %, or 99.94 % with the two-site geo service. 1U housing costs 680 CZK a month excluding VAT plus electricity by metered consumption. A typical 1U (72 kWh, 15 % off for a yearly subscription with a server from czech-server.cz) comes to 1,290.80 CZK a month excluding VAT.

DC Vega meters consumption on direct contracts; 1U through the reseller GamerHost comes with power in 100 W blocks (minimum 100 W, 101 W is already a 200 W block).
